every day a library of sadness circulates inside
every day is goodbye
every breath is a sigh
every day another opportunity to dream/decide
every day is goodbye every breath is a sigh
some day you will have known me not to cry
as sharp shards of hope scrape for joy
every day is goodbye
every breath is a sigh

I hope this doesn't mean what I think it might mean. xo
Sorry about being vague, Nicole. I think Scout is letting me know it's time... he's no longer interested in food or being outside. He still wags his tail and perks up when I'm close or pet him though. The deciding feels like too much, but also--we're his family and have to do what's best for him. I haven't slept in three days and am a mess.
NGS--that was beautiful and sadly fits us too well. Thank you.
I found Shakespeare's sonnet 73 comforting when we were at this place with Xander.

Thank you, Steph. This is one I used to know (death's second self that seals up all the rest), but how meaningful for what we're living through...
