Why is a literal five-year-old in ICE custody? Why has been taken from Minneapolis to San Antonio? Why not hand him over to CPS in his home state?
School officials say he's being "used as bait" to trap members of his family. I can't get over that thought or terminology. It feels like my heart is being shredded.

It is so horrible. His family were Ecuadorians that were legally pursuing asylum in Minnesota. They were doing all the right things and following the process. Of course, the JD Vance was spewing lies about this when he was here in Minneapolis this week. It makes me SO ANGRY.
I watched the press conference given by the school official. It was heartrending. This is unconscionable. All of it. What the fuck is happening? Who on earth is okay with this? How on earth can anyone--even those soulless DHS officials--be?
