Christmas Chaos

I hope everyone's Christmas was happy.

Our Christmas was.

Little went according to plan. Big A had a terrible cold, At had bad allergies, Nu was t-i-r-e-d, my back was shot...

But we fell into our old Christmas patterns, talked about how much Scout loved Christmas, the food turned out great, everyone loved their presents.

At is leaving for Chicago on Saturday. So tomorrow one more present--flu and Covid shots.

Merry (belated) Christmas. I'm sorry so many were ill or injured. We had that, too, but the week before. We're all getting better, if not 100% there.

I love the matching jammies! Is At moving to Chicago this week or just visiting? Hope the shots don’t take you down! There’s so much flu A circulating so it’s good to get vaxxed!

It looks happy and fun. Oh dear, a Covid shot PLUS a bad back. Ugh. You know, if it's any consolation, I don't think you are alone in the illness and pain department this holiday. I've heard of more families than I ever have before who are dealing with everything from the flu to colds, injuries to surgeries, you name it. Doesn't make it feel any better for you or Big A, but at least know you aren't alone! I hope all of you recover very quickly.

Your kids are so beautiful.

Family Christmases *should* be like that--no matter the overarching circumstances, everyone can just hang out and Do The Things. Like all family gatherings, right?

I hope everyone is soon feeling better. This early winter has been full of illnesses, and I keep thanking the Universe that I have escaped them...so far.

Thank you, Steph. This winter has seen a lot of viral activity already. I'm glad everyone is better over at yours.

MOVING, Lisa! (Yikes!)

A gets his at work, and then I wait around for when the kids are free so we can all get ours together. We're invariably late in the season because of this.

Thanks, Jeanie. You're absolutely right. I think anecdotally and statistically, this Christmas season has seen more sick families.

Thank you, Nance. I can't get enough of those faces and hugs.

I am SO HAPPY about the last thing (too superstitious to write it out :). Please continue to keep protecting yourself!

Ok, I've been sick (but here's kindness, smiles, and a speech)

I did bring back an unwelcome souvenir as Nance called it, but I believe I'm on the mend. I had to cancel class (can't remember the...
