I wish your trip had been for something more pleasant. But I know you derived at least some satisfaction from being where you should be for your mother.
I hope that last one is not true. I have found even at sad gatherings (my father's and stepfather's memorial services) there was some comfort in being together with loved one.
I also hope there was some sad joy, bittersweet. And if not, so be it. There are times one must only endure.
Woof that is a lot of travel. But you did it! xo
I hope there was a spark of pleasure at least-- a glimmer.
