"Michiterreanean"

The beach was calling, so today was a beach day with friends. A late lunch, the art fest in Grand Haven, and then we flopped on the sand until it was dark and time to go home.

Seeing how "the third coast" is a thing, we wonder if we can make "Michiterranean" happen.

Pic: Beach selfie. I know I'l be thankful for this reminder of sand, sunset, lake breeze, and book time in a few months.

Beach, please.
I love a beachy day, sounds like yours was perfect!

Michigan has the Michiterranean, and Cleveland has The North Coast.

Love the photo. I am not a beachy girl by any means. Give me shade, grass, and my little private lake that's never even seen a whitecap.

I'm so glad you had a relaxing day with a book and other friends. You certainly deserved it.

Thank you, Nance. I noticed your beach stance in a conversation with Engie... perhaps the first time I've noted my opinion diverging from yours!

It was lovely reading time, Jenny! I hope you'll get some Lake Michigan time when you visit Paul in Chicago.

I love a lake day!! I am glad you are squeezing more fun and sunshine out of summer. We have to fill our cups because we know what is coming in a matter of months…

They were trying to get people to call it The North Coast back in the 80s when I lived near the Great Lakes. I guess that didn't catch on.

Spring? J/K! I know what you mean!!

"The North Coast" makes more sense, and I can see why you'd be more partial to it too, Steph :) !
