I went with people, but was still a bit nervous about being grabbed off the street and sent off to a jail somewhere. It's just that crazy out there these days or I'm just that crazy these days. Either way.
Just to make sure I looped in some joy, I hit the Farmer's Market and went to a graduation party as well.

I imagine you’ve seen the news about what happened in Minnesota yesterday. It was a very sad day for our state (a man posed as a cop and killed a state senator and her husband and shot another state senator and his wife). We were glued to the tv all day, watching the story unfold.
You had a great day! I was there too and had some apprehension before, so I can only imagine yours. But we went. We cheered and booed and chanted and it was a wonderful, energizing day!
You're not crazy. It' the times. And as a person of color, you probably have more to worry about in this respect than me. But I also think if something like what happened in L.A. happens again, they will go for another big city in a blue state. At least for now.
Wow you were brave to go. I would have been terrified, given the climate. I love no faux king way!
Take care.
I love the title of this post! My sister went to one of the protests and sent me photos of some GREAT signs. She was also a little anxious about what could happen (and sent me detailed instructions of how to take care of her cat in case she ended up in jail.) Glad it went well!
