But summer things are still happening anyway. At a breakneck pace these days.
We're entertaining for the next three days (three very different things), have houseguests the weekend after, and then it's off to India... eep.
And as Nu said dolefully: when we come back from India, summer vacation will almost be over. I wanted to redirect and say we ought to enjoy the moment and that we have a whole month left, but NGL--I lowkey feel the way Nu does too.

We only have a few weeks of camp and college visits left this summer-- I feel this, too.
We're about at the halfway point of North's break and I'm a little concerned because our activities were front-loaded and too much downtime is often not good for North. At the moment, they have nothing planned until mid-August.
I do feel like everyone is starting to gear up for school again and it's making me sort of sad. I love hearing about everyone's various summer activities and how excited everyone is for New Things. Oh, well. There is a season, blah, blah, blah.
Ugh--sorry to hear the back-to-school malaise is pervasive.
OTOH, College visits sound exciting, Sarah; StephLove--I know exactly what you mean. Doesn't North have a couple more visits too?
NGS--Did Dr. BB meet his July 15th deadline? I've wondered every single day :).
We might do some more college visits this summer, but no solid plans. North's next structured activity is sleep away camp for a week about three weeks from now.
Enjoy what is in front of you.
