I geeked out big time all day in Isthmia and Corinth and got home rather late. And then I might have said it was the best day of the vacation. "Ouch" Big A said, "You could have lied." Ha.
Pic: I'm holding a cup from the Byzantium age in my own dang hand. I also saw a lamp, where the clay had been wet when the potter was handling it, so their fingerprint is deposited on it. From 2300 years ago! #Greece

That would be unbelievably cool! Love Big A's comment! I have a feeling Rick might have said the same.
Wow, what an awesome opportunity! I'd have spent a long, long time there, too. You seeing the ancient fingerprint reminds me of looking up close at a Vermeer in the National Gallery: I started crying when I saw an actual brush hair. It just made him (and that whole era) more human to me, and I was in awe.
That sounds amazing, especially the fingerprint.
Amazing, amazing, amazing.
Ha. I guess we could be more diplomatic :)
"a brush with history," one might say... Sorry! I couldn't help myself! I'm glad we are such nerds though.
My hands shook...
I felt like they were a rockstar. Like do their students even know?
