Ah, Athens

Lots of adventures on our travels, yesterday: a canceled flight, being rerouted to Heathrow, 24+ hours of airports...

But we're here!

We checked in to our apartment, stocked up on food, unpacked, and got a good night's sleep.

This morning, we walked to the Acropolis to see the Parthenon. I will never, ever get over how small and excited I feel to be here.

Pic: Also, I didn't realize how tall Nu has gotten. #Greece

Wow -- Nu is towering over you! I'm thoroughly enjoying reading of your travels. It sounds like an unforgettable trip. (And now I'm nearing its beginning!)

I’m catching up on your posts now but had to stop and comment on this one! What a great photo and amazing adventure for our family. I hope you love your Airbnb. It’s the only way we do family travel!!

I have been avoiding air travel for a long time now because of what you described (and more). I'm so glad you recovered from it all and were ready for sightseeing.

Are they still growing? Both of mine stopped growing pretty young, in their mid-teens if I had to guess, even the one who's biologically male.

Towering despite my hat! It doesn't feel like this in our regular life LOL

Thanks, Lisa! The VRBO was a good experience... I feel a bit awkward about what it means for local families etc. But this was an exigency.

I hear you, Nance. I remember telling you that I was looking forward to being back home even before I left :). This is probably the main reason--so many things seem to go wrong.

I'm not sure, Steph. I thought the same! I did grow in my twenties, so there's some family precedence.
