I usually don't post very much on FaceBook... But I needed everyone I knew to pull for my mom...
and they really came through.
That's the thing I have to love about Facebook, when you need people, everyone from your fifth-grade best friend to the newly-appointed president of your college shows up for you.
I'm so grateful for everyone's well wishes, I hope they work for my Amma.

Are you familiar with the term ‘puppy guarding’? I haven’t looked it up, but it’s something my daughter used to say when she was about 5, about jealously guarding something. Like, ‘she was puppy guarding the jello pudding’. I have morphed it to mean obsessively watching something important.
I have been puppy guarding your blog to see how your mom is. Hang in there, this stuff is rough, but hopefully she will be FINE and you will be FINE and this will all be a shitty memory of a very specific time.
I love Facebook for these same reasons. I have a friend there that I met in Kindergarten, and we have nothing in common except that she loves me and I love her, and she is THERE when I need it. Rock on FB.
