because of the pressure of an approaching deadline (maybe)
because the A/C tech was here and the quotes for repair were so high (maybe)
because of crying over the soul-crushing news out of Rafah (maybe)
because I'm worried about the kids (At and Huck in particular) and have been missing Scout extra (maybe)
and then I realized that I was actually a bit hungover from yesterday's watermelon margaritas.
Hmm.
Pic: I took an Ibuprofen and a long walk along the Red Cedar by myself to clear my head.

Ah...I have been there! Well, not with watermelon. But I understand.
Hope all is okay with At and Huck!
Feel better.
Or it might be all or some of them in combination. The point is that you didn't say you DRANK A LOT OF WATER, which you probably should have. (I'm sorry; I typed that in My Mom Voice.)
Ugh. AC repairs. Been there so many times. But I hang on to my old AC like grim death. (Same with my ancient Maytag washer. May it never leave me.)
Hope you're all better.
Home repairs are so expensive. We're doing a mini-renovation in the kitchen and we might not have done it if we'd known some other things were going to come up at the same time.
Well... of all the reasons to have a headache, that's the best one! And maybe the watermelon margaritas helped (at least temporarily) with the other worries of life. Glad you're feeling better!
Nicole--Yes :) As for At and Huck, nothing major, thankfully, but things could be better.
Gillian--Thanks!
Nance--I think I did :). I drink alcohol so rarely these days, even a little seems to leave aftereffects. I hope your AC and washer last forever (as they should).
Steph--I hope you're able to enjoy your planned kitchen renovation--unlooked for repairs are a pain.
Jenny--Haha! Right? I think they did.
Giant headache yesterday. GIANT. Did a review of my day and realized I'd had half as much water as I usually do. *sigh* Hydration is almost always the answer in my world.
Engie--That's what Nance said! I hope you're feeling better and I'm making a note for myself.
