I'm also taking hope from the "uninstructed" voters in Wisconsin today. I am not alone, and I hope our politicians will listen to us. In the meantime, there are people to love, work to do, and Arabic to learn.
It was an easy day today, overall--the peskiest thing was spending an hour in the car to drop off "meal-train" food. Usually, it would take 20 minutes, but the family had requested it at 5, so I got enmeshed in rush-hour traffic.

(Forgive the lighting... Big A and Nu like a red palette for the rumpus room lighting. It's a bit like being in The Shining in the evenings.)

That's some sexy lighting!
I will be interested in hearing about your Arabic learning. It seems like such a complicated language with the different alphabet.
I went to grad school with someone who was taking Arabic classes and I think every literal second of free time she had she was studying. Seems hard!
Cute.
Thanks, Gillian!
Nicole, Engie--Arabic is SO challenging! It has been two weeks, and I'm only now beginning to get a sense of what I'm looking at--alphabet-wise. I'd be happy to learn just the spoken language, but that's not how Duolingo does it. The plan is to get weekly lessons with a native speaker once we get the basics figured out.
