Big A wimped out because it was cold and windy, but I took a long walk in the snow anyway.
It's too early to start the garden like I want to, but I started an array of herbs in planters indoors anyway.
Pic: Basil, thyme, rosemary, and mint growing in the solarium upstairs (the blue and red pots). Our quirky old house has lots of inconveniences, but its passive solar design means there's lots of light. I might as well use it for something good.

You're practicing Friluftsliv!
It's so interesting, one of the things I missed most last year about my garden was my herb garden. So of course I have lots of plans for that this year. You should see the SIZE of my garden, Maya! Well, you will. Believe me, you will! I'll be spamming everyone with 1000000 photos of it.
Nice.
So many windows! So much light! It's a beautiful space.
Oh, wow, I am so envious of your beautiful hanging herbs! What a great use of the space and light.
"Spring in my heart" -- that's great! I suppose it is still winter in my heart, but my brain at least is ready for spring.
Nicole! I AM SO EXCITED TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR GARDEN! I'm here for all the spamming you have time for. I saw the cedar boxes R is making for you and was so thrilled.
Thanks, Gillian.
Engie--It's my most favorite space (in the whole world, probably).
LOADW--I'm sorry it is Winter in your heart--I hope it thaws soon!
UGH I wish we had snow!!
What a beautiful space. I've never been able to get basil to survive indoors, even in the sunniest room of the house.
Sarah--whyyyyyyyy????
Steph--Mine's not doing well at all either. I hope they'll acclimatize. I might try Thai basil, which is smaller and hardier, if they don't.
