erm...

I started a fundraiser for my birthday for the first time ever, and it's just not getting the traction of my other Facebook posts. I couldn't use the Facebook fundraiser template since this non-profit does not have a 501c3 classification, so this isn't being promoted by Facebook, and I wonder if the GoFundMe link is making it algorithmically inaccessible. In any case, it's not working very well.

I'm bad at asking--and especially bad at asking for money--so just sitting with this for a bit.

Facebook does not like it when you don't use their tools. I suspect that the Go Fund Me is setting off their sensors and it's not being seen. You should email people. And post the link here too.

I thank you for the suggestions, Gillian... but I think that's a bit beyond me. I've texted the family though, and I hope they'll come through.

I've been posting graphs of covid cases and death every time the death toll goes up by 100,000 on FB since the beginning, and the last two have gotten almost no notice. Beth thinks in an attempt to stop the spread of misinformation, FB has been suppressing everything about covid. Maybe you've run afoul of some kind of algorithm.
