Pic: Weird angle, but that's Engie and me after we finished Day Two of Prana with Adrienne on Julie's invitation. Thanks for introducing me to this yoga series, Julie!
Yes! Engie visited me on her way to do important stuff and we hung out and it was lovely! It was like a snow globe outside with light, falling snow, and we also took a walk to some of my favorite gardens. They were all empty and wintering, but I did describe how things are in the summer. I'm sure it was just as good as the real thing.
(Also, this yoga series is clear and easy and I did not realize there was so much available for free on the internet. I have a Mirror, which needs a subscription and hasn't been reliable in a while having been bought out first by Lululemon and then Peloton... now I'm realizing that perhaps I don't even need it?

OMG YOU AND ENGIE DOING YOGA TOGETHER!!! What a confluence of everything!
I hope you enjoy your yoga practice.
Yay! A blogfriend meetup! What a terrific way to start 2025.
OMG ENGIE!!! I'm so jealous of all you midwest bloggers who get to actually meet up in person.
And yes- there's SO MUCH for free on the internet. I used to pay for Peloton but canceled that a while ago.
It was such a fun time! Yoga! Gardens! Dogs! I mean, you could not have planned a more perfect break for me in the middle of what seemed like an endless round of duty. Thanks for being an amazing host!
You got to do yoga with Engie!! That is amazing!! And I spy your elephant stuffie! I plan to do some in person yoga this year but should also try to do an at home practice as well. It would be a good pre-bedtime ritual for me when I'm traveling. I am sure I could just use a towel instead of a yoga mat.
Nicole! And in solidarity with Julie... So kind of extra awesome :D
It was good, StephLove!
For me--yes! (I think Engie mentioned elsewhere that she had sombre duties to attend to.)
I know you have a FL meetup next month, Jenny... I'm jealous of that!
Yes, I'm canceling (in case it hasn't automatically canceled on its own).
A towel seems like a perfectly good stand-in for a mat, Lisa.
Indian grandmas have been doing yoga draped in saris and on the hard floor for centuries. Sure its more comfortable in pants and with a cushy mat, but I feel those are add-ons.
Also, chair yoga might be an option?
I could not love this more. I know, I tried.
OK, I COULD love this more, if Engie weren't on a somber mission. Otherwise, I love it. I'm enjoying knowing that you and Tobia are doing the yoga along with me! Regarding Lisa's comment, even at home I don't use a yoga mat. My living room is carpeted, and that is all the cushion I need. <3
OMG: *it's
<3
Great tip for Lisa! Unless Lisa is putting a towel down because it's hotel carpeting...
In the room I usually do yoga, it's a tile floor and it's brutal on my knees--I have to fold the mat up for extra cushioning.
I thought I posted on this! I LOVED visiting you. You were a PERFECT host! Yoga! A walk! Delicious food! Snow! What more could I have ever wanted?
Loved having you here, Engie! Next time we'll go to The Broad!
<3 <3
Engie, your comment below prompted me to go into Blogger and sure enough you did have an earlier comment. (Not sure why it was waiting for approval though!)
