I expected fanfare at sunrise
instead here is an aperture
into resurrection
in immense welcome of it all
yolk of sun, soup of soil
feed the taste of returnsolving the mystery of missing
things by... just growing in
limbs uncurling out
freed from winter's quarantine
in the drama of the moment
rests a dirge for the day
